Oceana Sommelier

Oceana is seeking a motivated and experienced full time sommelier. Qualifications include:

1 year experience as a sommelier
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Knowledge of French and Italian wine, particularly Burgundy
Level 2 Certified Sommelier preferred, but not required
Experience in high volume / high-end establishments
Comfortable selling and working with high-end clientele
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Moderne Barn Host/Hostess

Modern Barn is looking for bright and energetic hosts or hostesses for their front desk.

The ideal candidates will have a strong interest in the hospitality industry, a good attitude and people skills, as well as the desire to learn more about the restaurant industry and event planning. While the position is focused on greeting guests, fielding reservations, and communicating with the floor management to streamline operations during lunch or dinner, there is also the potential of working with our Director of Private Dining, assisting in contacting potential event leads and helping compile event packages.

Moderne Barn offers a flexible schedule with an emphasis on evenings and weekends, as well as competitive wages based on experience.

Oceana Reservationist

Oceana is looking for a full time reservationist with a passion for food and wine.

Applicants must have a strong sense of urgency, be a team player, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have great attention to detail. The ability to follow instruction and display hospitality to guests and coworkers alike is crucial in this position.

Candidates should be computer literate and have knowledge of OpenTable. Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Oceana Host

Busy Midtown Seafood Restaurant seeks full time host. Fine Dining, High Volume Experience a must. Ability to multitask in a calm and efficient manner, work well within a high volume environment, and a strong ability to control the flow of reservations in a large dining room is expected. Must be proficient with Open Table.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing coat-check, creating and executing floor plans, handling daily side-work and routine cleanliness of the Host Stand and Coatroom.
